Sojour

The solo virtual table top

About

Sojour – is a virtual table top designed from the ground up to support solo play

During my solo adventures, I found that most multiplayer Virtual Table Tops (VTTs) were a bit too unwieldy for solo play. They’re fantastic for groups, but often far too complex when you’re adventuring alone.

That led me to create a personal project called Sojour, built specifically to support my solo role‑playing sessions. (As an aside: Sojour comes from Solo‑Journal — though it’s grown to do far more than that.)

My first full adventure in Sojour was Paper Chase from Chaosium’s Call of Cthulhu starter set. (I’m not affiliated with Chaosium — just a very happy customer.) The experience was so smooth and enjoyable that I began to wonder whether others might find Sojour useful too.

So I made the decision to release it commercially.

It’s been a lot of hard work, but absolutely worth it — and I’m grateful for the many satisfied customers on DriveThruRPG.

Sojour continues to evolve, with new features added regularly since launch. All updates are completely free for existing customers.

My guiding principle is simple: the customer comes first.

I take all feedback seriously, and I implement many user requests. In fact, around 35% of all new features come directly from customer suggestions.

Sojour has a one‑time cost of $10 USD. There are no subscriptions, no servers, and no DRM. Everything runs locally on your machine, and I’ve designed it to keep your data in open, non‑proprietary formats wherever possible.

I hope you enjoy using Sojour as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.
